    Questions & answers

Is daylight saving (summer time) taken into account?

Yes. The page uses the time-zone rules built into your browser, which are updated with the browser, so summer and winter time in every country are applied on the right dates.

My city is not in the list. What do I choose?

The list uses one main city for each time zone. Choose a city in your country that has the same time — for example Kolkata for all of India, or Dhaka for Bangladesh. Each entry shows its UTC offset to help.

It says the time is “skipped”. What does that mean?

On the day clocks go forward, one hour does not exist (in the USA, 2:30 AM on the second Sunday of March). The page shows the real moment, which the clocks call one hour later.

It says the time “happens twice”. Which one is used?

On the day clocks go back, one hour is repeated. The first time it happens (still summer time) is used, and the page tells you so. Pick a time outside that hour to avoid doubt.

How do I find a meeting time for people in different countries?

Open Meeting planner, choose the date and up to four places. Each row is one hour; rows where everyone is inside working hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00) are highlighted. Weekends and other working hours differ by country, so check with the others.

Why is the date different in the answer?

When it is evening in one place it can already be the next morning in another. The page says “next day” or “previous day” and shows the full date in the other place.
